Artist's Comments

A few weeks ago I went exploring in this creepy old factory. This place is just massive yet it's just sitting next to a park rotting. I found the front door was open so I let myself in. I got alot of great shots of the interiors which I plan on turning into paintings, the first of which is the above image.

9x12, acrylic on masonite

Fuckin' eerie dude. I thought it was an actual picture at first. Either I need my eyes check or you did a great job on this.

Last time I worked with acrylic paints it was on a 9X12 canvis. It turned out pretty bad. How did you control the paint so good?

The thing with acyrlic is you can't really blend that well with it as you can with oil paint. So I gradually build up my tones going from dark to light, just adding more paint on top after the previous layer drys.
